Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jeremy Marks (ranked 946 p4p, 1259 weight class) and Patrick Nielson (ranked 118 p4p, 152 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 19 - 16 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jeremy Marks!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 16 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Patrick Nielson!
The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Gregory Folan and Yves DeLean.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nielson throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Marks stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Marks throws a head kick that misses.
Nielson tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Marks defends well and Nielson ends up having to push Marks into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Marks swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.

It looks like Jeremy Marks has been cut.

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Nielson has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

Well Nielson has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
