Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Vlad Tepes lV (ranked 356 p4p, 561 weight class) and Scott Adams (ranked 48 p4p, 72 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 23 - 17 - 1, fighting out of St Petersburg, Vlad Tepes lV!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Scott Adams!
The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Paulsen Ambrosius and Aafke Stam.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tepes lV chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Adams can pounce on him.
Adams's jab looks to have found its range, popping Tepes lV under the eye.
Adams misses with a body shot.
Tepes lV changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.

Adams lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

That was a close second round but I would say that Vlad Tepes lV will probably get the nod.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

A punch lands to the side of Tepes lV 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Tepes lV shoots for a double leg takedown but Adams sprawls well. He's pushed Tepes lV's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Adams will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Tepes lV tried to counter with a leg kick but Adams avoided it.
Tepes lV takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Adams has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Tepes lV walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Tepes lV is trying to control the action in half guard but Adams is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Tepes lV tries to pass the half guard into mount. Adams knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Adams has his hands clasped together around Tepes lV's back. He's all about the action.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Tepes lV has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
