Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Danny Vargas (ranked 2048 p4p, 1574 weight class) and Edward Wojciechowski (ranked 215 p4p, 170 weight class). Wojciechowski is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Aqua - Barbie Girl. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Edward Wojciechowski!
The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Radbod Blank and Daniel Blasius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wojciechowski tries to bum rush Vargas with a series of wild strikes but Vargas uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Vargas keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Wojciechowski jabs Vargas to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Wojciechowski misses with a jab, cross combination.
A little feinted left hand from Vargas on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
A momentary lapse in concentration from Vargas enables Wojciechowski to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Vargas manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Wojciechowski is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Vargas is just riding it out for now. Wojciechowski eventually gives up the hold.
Vargas is staying active underneath Wojciechowski, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Wojciechowski seems to be working for a kimura but Vargas defends the submission attempt.

Let's hope that Wojciechowski has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
