Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Wala Sapi (ranked 23367 p4p, 23147 weight class) and Higanti Libat (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Higanti Libat is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 69 - 61 - 15, fighting out of Las Vegas, Wala Sapi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 59 - 79 - 6, fighting out of Las Vegas, Higanti Libat!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Daniel Franklin and Tiny Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Libat.
Libat wants to lay and pray for a moment but Sapi keeps working.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Sapi striking from the bottom but nothing landed.

Sapi is trying to control Libat's posture but Libat avoids it.
Sapi is looking to reverse the position.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

Sapi shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Sapi was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Libat is not content to let Sapi control the position.
Sapi controls the position.

Sapi is looking to take a break and control but Libat is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Sapi in side control, just content to control the action for now.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Sapi working away.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Sapi keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Libat feints and as Sapi raises his hands in defense, Libat changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Libat postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Back to the action!

Sapi shoots in for a takedown but Libat shows good takedown defense.
Libat counters with a body kick.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Libat enables Sapi to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Libat manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Sapi is stalling in the full guard.
Libat seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Sapi won't allow Libat to sweep him here.
Sapi looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
Libat is adopting a defensive guard.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Sapi looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Libat is trying to counter with his kicks.
Libat gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Sapi counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.

Libat misses with a takedown attempt - Sapi sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
No luck for Sapi with that takedown attempt.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Sapi shoots in and drives through. Libat sprawls well.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Wala Sapi. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Libat shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Sapi sprawls well. Sapi wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Libat gets slowly back to his feet.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Sapi goes for a double leg but Libat avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Libat continues to drive forward.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Wala Sapi dominated that second round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

Libat shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Sapi but Sapi pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Libat displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Sapi.

Sapi shoots for a double leg takedown but Libat sprawls well. He's pushed Sapi's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Libat shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Sapi pinned against the cage. Sapi gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Libat shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Sapi but Sapi pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Wala Sapi has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Higanti Libat.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Sapi shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Libat defends it nicely.

Sapi shoots in and bounces Libat off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Sapi's corner is telling him to maintain position.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Sapi postures up.
Libat tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Libat is pulling down on Sapi's head to control his posture.
Libat controls Sapi momentarily but Sapi frees himself.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.

And that's the end of the fight!
Wala Sapi showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Sapi has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
