3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Maurice Kilmers! The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Paul Tew and Donald Grub.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Georgesson shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Kilmers defends it nicely. Georgesson wants to clinch up but Kilmers keeps it at a distance. Kilmers circles away from the clinch attempt.
Kilmers stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Georgesson. Georgesson is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Kilmers keeps the fight on the outside. Georgesson closes this distance looking for a takedown but Kilmers circles away. Kilmers avoids the body shot from Georgesson.
That's one minute gone in the round. Georgesson throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean. Kilmers with a lazy takedown attempt and Georgesson counters with a one-two to the body. Georgesson tries to close the distance and clinch but Kilmers swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy. Georgesson leaves Kilmers with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Michael Georgesson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Georgesson!
