Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Frank Anderson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Brandon Jones!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, James Ackerman and James Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Anderson shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Jones eats them both and turns towards Anderson to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Jones throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Anderson seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.
Jones looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Jones closes the distance and pushes Anderson back into the cage.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Anderson.
Anderson lands a hook that snaps the head of Jones backwards.
Jones is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Anderson to keep the fight standing.
Anderson has a couple of punches blocked by Jones.
Jones is trying to break the clinch but Anderson has him pressed against the cage.
Anderson lands a body shot.
Anderson lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
Anderson is working Jones over against the cage.
Anderson scores with a shot to the side of Jones's head.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Jones pulls Anderson into guard.
Jones manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Anderson manages to get himself to full guard.

Jones decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Anderson, up you get!
Jones gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Anderson tests Jones's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Jones moves into range and clinches up with Anderson.
Anderson lands with a light punch inside.
Anderson lands with a short shot to the head.
A nice left hand lands by Anderson.
Jones tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Frank Anderson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Brandon Jones.
A hook to the body from Anderson.
Anderson cracks Jones with a nice body shot.
Jones lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Jones not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Jones thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Anderson's head.

Let's hope that Jones has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Jones has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Anderson is looking to improve his position.

We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
