Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Abdul King (ranked 25608 p4p, 4340 weight class) and Marshmallow Fungus (ranked 478 p4p, 408 weight class). Marshmallow Fungus will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, Dean Styles and Steve Montenegro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
King dodges the punch combination from Fungus.
King staying out of range there.
Fungus has taken the fight to the clinch.
King breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Fungus tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and King decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Fungus's guard.
Fungus is trying to keep King in close.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

King trying to control the position from guard on top but Fungus is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

King got a little sloppy there for a moment and Fungus has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, King has managed to get both his arms back between Fungus's legs - danger averted.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Fungus can do anything to dispel that myth.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

That was a close round but I would say that Abdul King will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
King is trying hard to land a takedown here. Fungus sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
King controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
King is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Fungus can do to turn this around?
King thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

King wants to control from the top but Fungus keeps moving.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
King lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Fungus circles away quickly and effectively.
Fungus tries to close the distance and clinch up but King swats him away and circles back towards the center.
King looked to counter with a high kick but didn't commit.
King is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Fungus's half guard.
Fungus tries to kick King off in order to stand up. King Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control.
King wants to lay and pray for a moment but Fungus keeps working.
Fungus sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
Fungus trying to control but King postures up.

Fungus tries to roll over but King keeps him under control.
It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting King here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man.
Fungus wants to control but King is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Fungus might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control King haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Fungus is looking to clinch but King is avoiding it.
King tries to counter by clinching up but Fungus breaks away and moves out of range.
King gets tackled into the cage by Fungus. Fungus maintains the clinch.
Fungus lands a nice uppercut.
King's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Fungus moves into the clinch.
King takes a shot to the head.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Fungus.
Fungus pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.
King is trying to break free.

King has clasped his hands together around Fungus's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.
Fungus tries to buck King off but King is having none of it.
Fungus has one of King's arms on lockdown, trying to prevent him from doing any damage.

King is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Fungus has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Fungus!

Marshmallow Fungus comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
