Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Holden Case (ranked 5101 p4p, 5111 weight class) and Dennis Stanley (ranked 392 p4p, 393 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Holden Case!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Dennis Stanley!
The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, Jorge Garcia and Columbo Gatti.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Stanley scores with a takedown into Case's guard.
Stanley showing good wrestling skills to control the position.

Stanley drops back looking for a leg! Case is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Case manages to kick Stanley off! Stanley jumps back into Case's guard.
Stanley postures up.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Stanley is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Stanley trying to control but Case is working from the bottom.

Stanley is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
Stanley might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Case haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Stanley accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Stanley is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Holden Case seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Stanley closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Stanley lands in his opponent's guard.
Stanley slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Case wants to sweep but no luck.
Case is working hard here to advance position.

Stanley drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Stanley jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Case keeping full guard, as Stanley tries to pass.
Stanley with a flurry of punches that miss.

Stanley trying to control the position from guard on top but Case is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.
A left lands for Case.

It looks like Dennis Stanley has been cut.
Stanley looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Case lands a jab-cross combination.
Stanley takes one on the chin but seems OK.

Stanley bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Stanley throws a strike aimed at the side of Case's head but Case avoids it well.

Stanley wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Case, who protects the arm well.

Stanley looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Case knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Stanley on the ground.

Case is looking to regain half guard here but Stanley keeps moving and retains side control.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Case keeps Stanley under control for a moment.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Case is looking for a sweep.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Case lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Stanley backs up against the cage.
Case fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Case throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Stanley throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Case.
Case throws a right hand that Stanley ducks under and follows up with a left that Stanley also avoids with ease.
Case scores with a decent looking hook.
Stanley shoots in for a takedown but Case shows good takedown defense.

Stanley manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Case on his heels. He'll look to pass Case's guard now, I'm sure.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Stanley stays in close to Case's body and controls the position.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Case lands a nice hook to Stanley's body. Stanley takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

Case tries to counter by clinching up but Stanley breaks away and moves out of range.

Case looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Stanley closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Case quickly recovers to half guard.

Stanley seems to be working for a kimura but Case defends the submission attempt.

Stanley is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
Case is staying active underneath Stanley, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Case looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.

Stanley seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Case does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Case has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Stanley is working away from the top position though.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Case tries to get to full guard but Stanley has control of the leg.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Stanley is thwarting Case's attempts to control the position.

Case scores with a sloppy right hand. Stanley should have avoided that one.

Case gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Case lands a body shot.
Case lands a nice uppercut.
Stanley tries for a takedown. No joy.

Case goes for a takedown in the clinch but Stanley prevents it.

Case escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Nice takedown defense from Case. No joy for Stanley on that attempt.

Case pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Stanley tries to bum rush Case with a series of wild strikes but Case uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
The fight stays on the outside here - Stanley looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Case wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Stanley shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Case sprawls well. Case wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Stanley gets slowly back to his feet.
Holden Case has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dennis Stanley.
Stanley takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Case throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Stanley stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Stanley is looking to clinch but Case is avoiding it.
Sloppy strikes from Stanley. Those never looked like landing.
Horrible takedown attempt by Case or perhaps it was just good defense by Stanley, which made it look bad.

Case clinches up with Stanley and pushes him back against the cage.
Holden Case has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Case has picked Stanley up - he's going for a ride! Case dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.
Stanley keeping hold of Case's head, controlling as best he can.
Case is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.

Case throwing shots but Stanley is blocking nicely.

Stanley kicks Case off and gets back to his feet.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Case connects with a body shot.
Case scores with a nice head shot.
Holden Case is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Case misses with a wild combination.
Stanley steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Case.
Case tries to grapple but his opponent circles

and Stanley counters with a shoot takedown. Case fights it but they end up in guard.

Stanley wants to control from the top but Case keeps moving.
Stanley stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Case swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Stanley keeps trying to improve his position.
Case on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Case tries to get out of the position.

Stanley is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Case is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Case has escaped and now he's on top!


Stanley looking for a triangle here. Case is fighting it but it looks tight! Stanley pulls the arm across and this one won't last much longer! Nope, Case is tapping out - this one is all over!
