Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Biff Hemlock (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Melvin Mesqabit (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, George Francis and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mesqabit tries to clinch but Hemlock is having none of it.
Hemlock swats away the attempt to clinch by Mesqabit.
Hemlock has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Hemlock comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Mesqabit wants to clinch.
Mesqabit is looking to clinch.
No joy there for Hemlock, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Mesqabit tries to close the distance and clinch up but Hemlock swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Mesqabit instigates a clinch.
Hemlock tries to pull guard but Mesqabit won't allow it.
Mesqabit breaks from the clinch.
Hemlock fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Mesqabit on the side of the head.
Mesqabit keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Mesqabit fails with an attempt to clinch.
Hemlock lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Mesqabit at a distance.
Hemlock with a body punch. A glancing blow.
Hemlock throws a right hand that Mesqabit ducks under and follows up with a left that Mesqabit also avoids with ease.
Mesqabit throws a left and a right that both miss
so Hemlock counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

Mesqabit keeping moving, preventing Hemlock from controlling successfully.
Hemlock scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
Hemlock won't allow Mesqabit to get back to his feet.
Hemlock sitting in guard here, content to control.
Hemlock works over Mesqabit with some ground and pound from guard.
Hemlock thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Mesqabit pushes Hemlock off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
Mesqabit tries to clinch but Hemlock moves away
and Hemlock counters with a nice body shot.
Hemlock is looking to score with low kicks.
Mesqabit moves out of range of the leg kick from Hemlock.
Hemlock circles away from the clinch attempt
and Hemlock counters with a stiff right hand.
Hemlock throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Mesqabit.
Hemlock scores with a jab.

Mesqabit lands an overhand right.
Mesqabit looks gassed!
Mesqabit misses with a double jab.
Hemlock rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Mesqabit moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Hemlock throws a shot to the body.
Hemlock cracks Mesqabit with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Mesqabit tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Hemlock paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Hemlock throws a series of punches but Mesqabit moves out of range.
Mesqabit showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Hemlock.
Hemlock throws a leg kick that misses.
Hemlock gets in close and instigates a clinch.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Mesqabit unloads a knee to the mid-section.
Hemlock wants to break the clinch but can't.
A left hand lands to the body for Mesqabit.
Hemlock is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Hemlock jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Mesqabit walks away with a smile on his face. Hemlock gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Hemlock connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Mesqabit fails with the takedown
and Hemlock counters with a nice uppercut.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Hemlock.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Biff Hemlock. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Hemlock tries to clinch but Mesqabit moves away
and Mesqabit counters with a shoot takedown. Hemlock fights it but they end up in guard.
Hemlock has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Hemlock is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Mesqabit is looking to work some ground and pound but Hemlock has wrist control.
Mesqabit must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Mesqabit is posturing up here but Hemlock has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Mesqabit tries to roll out but it's too tight and Mesqabit has to tap! Slick submission there by Hemlock!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:50 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Biff Hemlock!
