The judges for this bout are James Glass, Paul Tew and Richard Clark.
The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way.
Domino darts in and clinches Cowboy up against the ropes. Domino jumps guard but Cowboy turns him against the ropes and keeps the fight standing. Domino is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the ropes enables Cowboy to keep the fight standing.

The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Domino trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Domino postures up.

Cowboy had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Domino defends it easily. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Cowboy is trying to control the position but Domino postures up.

Cowboy is trying desperately to improve position. Domino controlling the pace for now. Domino fails to advance to Cowboy's back.

Cowboy got a little sloppy there for a moment and Domino has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Cowboy has managed to get both his arms back between Domino's legs - danger averted. Domino trying to keep a closed guard but Cowboy is proving a slippery customer.
Domino is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Cowboy tries to free his leg and advance position but Domino is retaining full guard.

 That's thirteen minutes gone in the round. Cowboy is trying to control the action in half guard but Domino is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Domino is looking for a sweep. Cowboy is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Cowboy wants to control but Domino is keeping him busy. Domino wants to improve his position but Cowboy is controlling well.

 That's fourteen minutes gone in the round. Domino tries to bench press Cowboy off him but Cowboy keeps the position. Cowboy trying to control the position but Domino is working away. Domino prevents Cowboy from moving into mount. Domino is not content to let Cowboy control the position.
Cowboy goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Domino has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Cowboy but great work by Domino. Score +4 for clean sweep to past guard: Domino (14) vs (10) Cowboy Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Cowboy manages to work his way to half guard, despite Domino's best efforts.
And that's the end of the fight! Domino takes the fight on points by 14 to 10. In his post fight interview, Johnny Domino started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception. |
