The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Michaels fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Adesanya to the ground. Michaels is now in Adesanya's guard.
Adesanya is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Michaels is controlling him.
Michaels wants to control from the top but Adesanya keeps moving.
Adesanya can't keep his opponent in guard - Michaels advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Michaels seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Adesanya does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Michaels is working for a submission of some sort.
