Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Shahriyar Chai (ranked 351 p4p, 189 weight class) and Randy Wieland (ranked 48 p4p, 31 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Wieland's choice of entrance music: Ran-D - Zombie. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 17 - 12 - 0, fighting out of London, Shahriyar Chai! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 10 - 2 - 1, fighting out of New York, Randy Wieland! The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Shirou Masuda and Yuuki Gou.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Chai misses with a hook. Wieland ducked under it nicely. Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world. Chai misses with a left hand and Wieland connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Chai throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Wieland throws the left hand but Chai avoids the punch easily. A quick step to the side and Chai tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect. Chai tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Wieland was well out of range. Poor timing from Chai.
Wieland gets tackled into the cage by Chai. Chai maintains the clinch. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Wieland lands with a left to the head. A quick uppercut on the inside from Chai. Still in the clinch, Wieland scores with a nice short uppercut. Chai misses with a punch on the inside.
Wieland is struggling to control the position. Chai has a couple of punches blocked by Wieland.

No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Wieland scores with a decent looking elbow strike. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Wieland has control of Chai's left arm, preventing Chai from doing any damage. Chai is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. That was a close round but I would say that Shahriyar Chai will probably get the nod. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Wieland is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Chai.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Wieland uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Chai. Wieland changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt. Chai throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Chai looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Wieland throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Chai wants to get back to full guard.
