Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Xxx Xxx (ranked 5359 p4p, 22676 weight class) and Xxx Xxx (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 22 - 156 - 5, fighting out of Las Vegas, Xxx Xxx!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 147 - 31 - 4, fighting out of Las Vegas, Xxx Xxx!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, George Francis and Frank Dennis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.
Fighter A has a takedown stuffed.

Fighter A gets the takedown into side control.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Fighter A lands a nice forearm strike.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Fighter A goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Fighter B rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Fighter A's guard! Nice work there by Fighter B!
Fighter B advances position into side control!

That's one minute gone in the round.
Fighter A struggling a bit here.
The ground and pound from Fighter B seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.
Fighter B staying calm.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
You can see the frustration on Fighter A's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Fighter B looks up at the clock and then as Fighter A takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Fighter B smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Fighter B in side control, just content to control the action for now.
Fighter A wants to control but Fighter B postures up.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Fighter B moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now.
Fighter A can't do much from the bottom here.
Fighter A seems a little lost for a moment, as Fighter B dominates the positioning.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Fighter A is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
A lull in the action here.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.
Fighter A shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Fighter B sprawls well. Fighter B wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Fighter A gets slowly back to his feet.
Fighter B looks like he wanted to counter with a high kick but didn't throw it.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Xxx Xxx dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Fighter B gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Fighter A to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Fighter A throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Fighter B works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Fighter B is pulling down on Fighter A's head to control his posture.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Fighter A in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Fighter A is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.

Fighter B has Fighter A pulled in close to control his posture.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Fighter A postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Fighter B trying to control the position here.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Fighter A throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Fighter A fails to land the takedown.
Fighter B flicks out a counter leg kick but Fighter A steps away.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Fighter B looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Fighter B keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Fighter A gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Fighter B finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Xxx Xxx. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Fighter B tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Fighter B shoots in and drives through. Fighter A sprawls well.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Fighter A misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
And Fighter B responds with a good body kick, but Fighter A manages to step out the way in time.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Xxx Xxx dominated that second round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

Fighter B fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Fighter A jinks towards his opponent looking like he wants to counter with a mid kick but doesn't commit.
Fighter A misses with an attempted mid kick.
Fighter A misses with a takedown attempt - Fighter B sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
And Fighter B responds with a good body kick, but Fighter A manages to step out the way in time.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Fighter A fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Fighter A shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Fighter B as he jumps to the side.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Xxx Xxx. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Nice sprawl there from Fighter B as Fighter A shoots in.
Fighter B steps in looking to counter with the mid kick but it doesn't connect.
Fighter A throws a body kick despite being completely out of range

and Fighter B decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Fighter A's guard.
Fighter A wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Fighter B manages to pass to side control.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Fighter A trying to control but Fighter B postures up.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Fighter B with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Fighter A tries for a takedown but Fighter B sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Fighter B drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Fighter A defends it well.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Fighter A crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Fighter B - the referee stops the clock and Fighter A gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Fighter B. Fighter A manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Fighter A closes this distance looking for a takedown but Fighter B circles away.
Fighter B steps in looking to counter with the mid kick but it doesn't connect.

And that's the end of the fight!
Xxx Xxx comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Fighter B has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
