The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way.
Makarov closes this distance looking for a takedown but Gerbandi circles away.

Gerbandi isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Makarov stacks Gerbandi on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Makarov!

Gerbandi is looking for a choke. Makarov gets to his feet with his opponent on his back and slams him to the mat. Makarov manages to squirm out of the attempted choke and turns into his opponent's guard.
