Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Brenden Hickman (ranked 4236 p4p, 25677 weight class) and Elias Gracie (ranked 311 p4p, 379 weight class). The key to victory for Brenden Hickman has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 9 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Brenden Hickman! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Elias Gracie! The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, Donald Grub and Andrew Berry.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight. Hickman dives in for a single leg takedown but Gracie sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Hickman successfully pulls guard.
Hickman is trying to control the position but Gracie postures up. Gracie preventing the sweep.
Hickman had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Gracie defends it easily. Hickman not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Gracie sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Hickman's guard.
Gracie seems to be looking for submissions.

Gracie is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Gracie is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Gracie is thwarting Hickman's attempts to control the position. Hickman could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Gracie maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Hickman could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Gracie has cracked it and Hickman is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Gracie!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Elias Gracie! In his post fight interview, Elias Gracie started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
