Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jermaine Saunders (ranked 5347 p4p, 5285 weight class) and Marcelo Delacruz (ranked 290 p4p, 288 weight class). Saunders comes to the cage accompanied by https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=tBKYI3-3lMg&t=0s. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jermaine Saunders! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Marcelo Delacruz! The judges for this bout are James Glass, Chris Edwards and Andrew Berry.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Saunders tries to clinch up but Delacruz circles away and keeps his distance. Saunders fails to land the takedown. Saunders really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Delacruz looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Saunders is fending him off so far but Delacruz persists. Nope, Saunders circles away and we're back to standing.
Delacruz shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Saunders is trying to defend but Delacruz finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Delacruz connects with a nice short shot to Saunders's temple. Saunders wants to control but Delacruz is keeping busy and won't allow it. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Delacruz working Saunders over with strikes. Saunders is trying to stand back up but Delacruz is controlling him
 That's one minute gone in the round. Saunders controlling the position for now. Delacruz controlling the action here. Saunders knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Delacruz on the ground. Delacruz sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Saunders defending well though. Saunders wants to sweep but Delacruz has passed to side control! Delacruz lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face. Saunders tries to get back to half guard but can't. Delacruz controls the position.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Let's hope that Delacruz has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Saunders is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Delacruz is controlling him well. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
 That's three minutes gone in the round.
Delacruz decides to stand back up. Saunders shoots in looking for a takedown. Delacruz tries to sprawl out of it but Saunders keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Delacruz manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Saunders shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Delacruz pinned against the cage. Delacruz gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jermaine Saunders. That's going to take a lot out of him. Saunders shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Delacruz as he jumps to the side. Saunders misses with a takedown
and Delacruz counters with a nice double leg into guard. Delacruz advances position into side control! Saunders looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio. Delacruz is putting a hurting on Saunders here, landing some big shots from side control.
 That's four minutes gone in the round.
Delacruz is working to tighten his grip on Saunders's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Saunders has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Delacruz is really squeezing tight and eventually Saunders passes out! Delacruz breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
