The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

and Mcarthy counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Mcarthy could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Mcarthy stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Miller swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Mcarthy thows a big elbow that misses.

Miller is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Mcarthy accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Mcarthy shoots in and bounces Miller off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Mcarthy lands a nice short elbow.
Mcarthy seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Miller is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Mcarthy lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.

Mcarthy working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

Mcarthy is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Miller is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
