And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Andre Galvao!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Sosuke Kotani.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shimmer lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Galvao backs up against the cage.
It looks like Andre Galvao has been cut.
Shimmer with a body punch. A glancing blow.
Galvao shoots in for a takedown but Shimmer shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Galvao should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Galvao looks for a takedown but Shimmer sprawls well.
We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Galvao has eaten all the pies!
Shimmer gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Galvao jumps guard but Shimmer turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.

Galvao takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

and Shimmer counters with a nice uppercut.

Shimmer pushes Galvao away with a front kick.

Galvao takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Shimmer drops Galvao with a beautiful combination! Galvao stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Shimmer is looking for the KO!
Galvao is rocked!
Shimmer plants his feet and throws a brutal three punch combo that sends Galvao swiftly into unconsciousness! Right, left, right! Boom, boom, boom! Galvao face plants, battered and bloodied! He might never be the same again after that finish!
