Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Grass Carp! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Xandaun Nopegalev! The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Winston Howard and Francis DeMontford.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Carp takes a swing at Nopegalev's ribcage but misses. A swing and a miss from Carp. Nopegalev throws a right hand that misses
and Carp counters with a straight right hand.
Nopegalev closes the distance and clinches. Carp swings wildly with an uppercut but Nopegalev uses good head movement to avoid it. A short uppercut from Nopegalev. Nopegalev lands an elbow inside. Nopegalev lands a body punch in the clinch. A nice left hand lands by Nopegalev.
Nopegalev lands an uppercut. I was talking to Carp's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight. A short right hand to the side of the head by Nopegalev. A hook to the body from Nopegalev.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Nopegalev lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Carp. Carp is breathing heavily. Nopegalev lands a right hand that snaps the head of Carp backwards. Nopegalev pushes Carp back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head. Nopegalev gets through Carp's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head. Nopegalev's coach down at Gym To Nica was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Nopegalev's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight. A right hook to the body lands for Nopegalev.
Carp takes an elbow to the forehead. Carp working aggressively here.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Nopegalev lands an elbow inside that Carp shrugs off.
 It looks like Grass Carp has been cut. Nopegalev lands a hook that snaps the head of Carp backwards. Nopegalev works on Carp's body with a couple of short punches. Nopegalev lands a right hand. Nopegalev pushes Carp back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head. Nopegalev displaying some good clinch control by pressing Carp up against the cage. Carp's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
 Carp is rocked! Nopegalev has Carp pressed against the cage. He pushes Carp back and as he springs towards him off the cage, Nopegalev throws a beautiful elbow that sends Carp crashing to the floor! Nopegalev piles on the pressure with more strikes! Carp is flailing away but he's not defending himself and the referee steps in to stop the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:36 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Xandaun Nopegalev! An out of breath Xandaun Nopegalev thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
