Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Viktor Sokolov! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Howard The Coward! The judges for this bout are Ron Honeybunn, Darius Henderson and John Mangel.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sokolov lands a slapping body shot.
Sokolov fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. The Coward jabbing away but nothing is landing. The Coward missing with a left hand there. Sokolov was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. A right-left combo lands from The Coward. Some wild striking there from The Coward.
Sokolov appears to be looking for a counter takedown. The Coward throws a leg kick
and Sokolov counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
The Coward is defending against the submission attempts here by Sokolov.
This has been an exciting period of action! Sokolov controlling the action here. The Coward really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Sokolov. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
