And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Hezekiah Mcneil!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Cecil Peabody and Gwen Towbar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Oneal misses with a right hand
and Mcneil counters with a straight right hand.
Mcneil gets cracked there but stands up to it.
A left lands for Oneal.
Oneal bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Oneal moves into range and connects with a jab.
Mcneil stuffs the takedown.
Despite the aggression on Mcneil's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.
Oneal connects with a body shot.
Oneal jabbing away but nothing is landing.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Oneal changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Mcneil tries to avoid it but Oneal manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Mcneil to the ground. Mcneil escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
It seemed like Mcneil was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mason Oneal. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Oneal fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Mcneil looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

Oneal shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Oneal showed some decent athleticism there.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Oneal is working for a kimura but Mcneil is defending it quite comfortably.

Oneal tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Oneal has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

Oneal's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Oneal is controlling his opponent, waiting for an opportunity to finish.
Mcneil really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Oneal. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Will Oneal go for the finish here or will he try and keep control of the position?

Oneal is looking cool and calm here, just waiting for a good opportunity to attack and finish the fight from this dominant position.

Oneal looking to break Mcneil's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Mcneil remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Oneal will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke!

Mcneil's coach down at Dissolution Elite Training Facility was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Mcneil's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.

Oneal is looking for a kimura. It's pretty deep but Mcneil still has the half guard so he's probably OK. Oh, Mcneil has exploded into a beautiful escape there and after a quick scramble, he's ended up in side control on top! Nice work!
