Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Andy O Driscoll (ranked 3039 p4p, 2144 weight class) and Scooter Dahan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Andy O Driscoll! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 8 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Scooter Dahan! The judges for this bout are William Gold, Chris Edwards and Andrew Berry.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Horrible takedown attempt by Dahan or perhaps it was just good defense by O Driscoll, which made it look bad. O Driscoll tried to counter with a leg kick but Dahan avoided it.
Dahan closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into O Driscoll's guard. Dahan lands a couple of decent looking shots. Dahan controls from within his opponent's guard. In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Dahan working his ground and pound in the gym. So far it seems to be working well. O Driscoll managing to control the position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Dahan showing good wrestling skills to control the position.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Dahan postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. O Driscoll bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Dahan's guard.

Dahan has his foot on O Driscoll's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. O Driscoll works his way back into a safe position though. Dahan is trying to keep O Driscoll in close.

Dahan has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but O Driscoll can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Dahan escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. O Driscoll gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. O Driscoll is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. O Driscoll works his way into side control.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Dahan tries to improve position but can't. O Driscoll is looking to take a break and control but Dahan is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Dahan can do anything to dispel that myth. O Driscoll controlling the position.  That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Dahan stops O Driscoll from passing to mount. Dahan is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on O Driscoll's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. Dahan tries to get to full guard but O Driscoll has control of the leg. O Driscoll is pressing down on Dahan's thigh, looking to free his foot. Dahan is holding on for now. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Dahan trying to control here.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Andy O Driscoll will probably get the nod. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Dahan fails with the takedown and O Driscoll counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. O Driscoll gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there. Dahan slips under a jab. O Driscoll lands a nice leg kick that just misses Dahan's sensitive parts. A solid leg kick lands there for O Driscoll.

Dahan with a lazy takedown attempt and O Driscoll counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. O Driscoll jabs Dahan right on the nose. Dahan blinks but takes it well.
 That's one minute gone in the round. O Driscoll just misses with a punch to the body.
Dahan drops down looking to force a counter takedown but O Driscoll defends it well. Dahan chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before O Driscoll can pounce on him.
Dahan fails miserably with a takedown attempt. O Driscoll fires out a quick counter leg kick but Dahan just manages to avoid it. Andy O Driscoll has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Scooter Dahan. Dahan fails with a takedown attempt. Dahan shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and O Driscoll counters with a nice body shot. O Driscoll with the inside leg kick. A nice leg kick lands there from O Driscoll.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Dahan takes a kick to the body and keeps moving. Dahan takes a shot right to the bread basket. Dahan jabbing away but nothing is landing. O Driscoll appeared to be looking to counter that last move with a leg kick. Andy O Driscoll is winning the standup battle so far. O Driscoll misses with a leg kick
and Dahan counters with a single leg into guard. O Driscoll didn't expect that. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Dahan passes O Driscoll's right leg, so he's now in half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. O Driscoll works his way to full guard. Good work. Dahan throwing strikes but missing. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Dahan accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Dahan got a little sloppy there for a moment and O Driscoll has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Dahan has managed to get both his arms back between O Driscoll's legs - danger averted.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Dahan stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. O Driscoll swivels though and keeps the full guard.
O Driscoll is looking for a triangle but Dahan pushes his legs off easily.
O Driscoll is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Dahan can do to turn this around? Dahan advances to half guard. O Driscoll trying to control but Dahan postures up.
Dahan looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Dahan throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. O Driscoll is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Dahan is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. O Driscoll doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Dahan. O Driscoll controlling the position for now. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. O Driscoll regains full guard. Nicely done. Dahan wants to control from the top but O Driscoll keeps moving. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Andy O Driscoll dominated that second round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!
Dahan misses with a takedown attempt and O Driscoll counters with a lovely shot to the body. O Driscoll punishes Dahan's body with a nice straight punch. O Driscoll wants to land a leg kick but Dahan is out of range.
Dahan shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches O Driscoll napping and manages to drive through into side control! Dahan working the head and body with strikes. O Driscoll is not content to let Dahan control the position. The strikes coming from Dahan are missing the target in this wave of attacks. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. The ground and pound from Dahan seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent. O Driscoll is looking to regain half guard here but Dahan keeps moving and retains side control.
 That's one minute gone in the round. O Driscoll is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Dahan is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so O Driscoll is just riding it out for now. Dahan eventually gives up the hold. Dahan working over O Driscoll with some ground and pound. O Driscoll looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Dahan is looking to take a break and control but O Driscoll is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. O Driscoll is looking for a sweep. Dahan is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. O Driscoll is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Dahan's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Dahan's back! What can Dahan do to escape this position? He's going to have to figure it out pretty quick if he wants to stay in the fight!

You can see the frustration on Dahan's face� He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.

 That's three minutes gone in the round. O Driscoll gets his hands free as Dahan looks to control. O Driscoll is trying to control but Dahan is trying to escape here - he's now mounted.
Dahan is working to get back to half guard.
Dahan wants to hold on but O Driscoll pushes him away. O Driscoll takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Dahan sneaks a leg under to get to half guard. O Driscoll controlling the action here.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Dahan wants to improve his position but O Driscoll is controlling well.

And that's the end of the fight! Andy O Driscoll showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for O Driscoll, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
