Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kashton Pearce (ranked 1134 p4p, 1366 weight class) and Tino Takala (ranked 144 p4p, 167 weight class). Kashton Pearce has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 7 - 0, fighting out of London, Kashton Pearce!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 26 - 20 - 2, fighting out of Amsterdam, Tino Takala!
The judges for this bout are Radbod Blank, Paulsen Ambrosius and Patrick Alders.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pearce feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Takalas jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Pearce throws a jab when Takala was well out of range.
Pearce gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Takala wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Takala tries to break free but Pearce pushes him back against the cage.
A head punch blocked on the inside by Takala.
Takala breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Good shot there by Pearce.
Pearce tries a low kick but Takala avoids it.
Takala looks like he wants to counter punch here.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Pearce cracks Takala with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Pearce has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Takala to stand back up!

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Pearce drops Takala with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Takala looks back up at him and smiles so Pearce waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Takala is still on wobbly legs! Can Pearce finish him?
Takala uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Pearce.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Takala! But no joy.
Takala seems to have recovered his senses.

Pearce with a body punch. A glancing blow.
Pearce looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Pearce tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Takala manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Despite the aggression on Takala's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.

Pearce scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Pearce sends Takala crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Pearce is motioning to the referee to let Takala up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Pearce lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Takala has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Takala and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Kashton Pearce.
Well Pearce has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
