The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thoupos throws a predictable looking body shot
letting Badmus counter with a right hand.
Badmus tries to move into range but Thoupos moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.

I was talking to Badmus's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Badmus connects with a superb combination that knocks Thoupos out cold! The referee charges across the mat and tackles Badmus before he can land any more shots to the unconscious Thoupos!

In his post fight interview, Ola Badmus started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
