PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kamil Walusix (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Porter Ricp (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ricp has chosen Rock Flag and Eagle as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Kamil Walusix!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Porter Ricp!
The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Saam Ante and Patrick Alders.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Walusix shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Walusix closes this distance looking for a takedown but Ricp circles away.
Ricp tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Ricp throws a wild body kick that Walusix sees coming a mile off.
Walusix pushes Ricp away with a front kick.
Walusix shoots in but no luck this time.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kamil Walusix. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Ricp tries to score with a low kick but Walusix moves his leg out of the way.
Walusix is looking to clinch but Ricp is avoiding it.
Walusix doesn't manage to clinch there - Ricp circles away.
Walusix throws a head kick that misses
and Ricp counters with an inside leg kick.

Ricp has closed the distance and engaged Walusix in a clinch.

Ricp breaks the clinch.

and Walusix counters with a one-two to the body.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Ricp shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Ricp was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Ricp postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Walusix looks a forlorn figure.
Walusix knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Ricp on the ground.
Walusix is breathing heavily.
Ricp is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Walusix can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

Walusix tries to reverse the position but Ricp maintains control.
Ricp scores with a couple of good head shots there.

Ricp cracks Walusix with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Ricp is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Walusix has managed to escape the submission attempt.

Ricp can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Walusix is looking to escape.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Walusix tries to lock up and control but Ricp gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

Ricp working away from the top, dropping strikes.
Ricp postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Walusix looks a forlorn figure.
Ricp is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Walusix can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

Walusix defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Ricp.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Porter Ricp dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Walusix shoots and misses
and Ricp counters with a nice body kick.

Ricp shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Walusix tries to hold on but Ricp pushes him away.
Ricp breaks from Walusix's wrist control and lands an elbow.
Ricp lands a big elbow.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Ricp cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Ricp takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Walusix tries to hold on but Ricp postures up.
Ricp lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Ricp connects with a couple of good shots from mount.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Walusix is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Porter Ricp showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!


Walusix looks to clinch

and Ricp moves into the clinch.
Walusix is working for takedown but Ricp is calmly controlling the position for now.
Walusix misses with a hook to the ribs.

Ricp's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Ricp throws a nice head kick!
Walusix throws a head kick but Ricp moves out of range.

Ricp shoots in and bounces Walusix off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Ricp in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Ricp gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Ricp throws a leg kick but Walusix moved away.
Ricp misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Walusix tries to clinch
and Walusix takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

Ricp closes this distance looking for a takedown but Walusix circles away.
Walusix shoots in and drives through. Ricp sprawls well.
Walusix fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kamil Walusix. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Walusix lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.

and Walusix counters with a low kick, right behind Ricp 's knee.
Walusix tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Walusix fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Walusix shoots in and drives through. Ricp sprawls well.

Ricp gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Ricp prevents the takedown attempt.
Walusix has had enough of the clinch but Ricp keeps him there for the moment.

Ricp pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Ricp pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Ricp decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Walusix has hold of Ricp's hands but Ricp slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Ricp is thwarting Walusix's attempts to control the position.

Ricp stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.
Walusix scores with a nice body kick.
Ricp fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Walusix checks it well.
Ricp tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Walusix looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Ricp!

Ricp is working to get back to half guard.
Poor strikes thrown by Walusix there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
Porter Ricp is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Ricp sneaks a leg under to get to half guard.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

Ricp manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Walusix has his takedown stuffed
and Ricp counters with a thumping low kick.

Ricp closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Ricp fails to pull guard.
Ricp changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Walusix fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Walusix doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Ricp counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters.
Walusix uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Ricp.
Walusix wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Kamil Walusix has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Walusix shoots in looking for a takedown. Ricp tries to sprawl out of it but Walusix keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Ricp manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

And that's the end of the fight!
Porter Ricp comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Ricp has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
