This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the super heavyweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of Los Angeles, with a TWGC record of 14 wins and 7 losses; Nedser Kiely! And in the blue corner, fighting out of St Petersburg, with a TWGC record of 13 wins and 7 losses; Tobias Bergman! The judges for this bout are Lou da Vinci, Joseph Jones and Russell Pearce.
Let's get this grappling contest under way! Who will be victorious?
The fight moves into the clinch position. Bergman is looking to take this one to the mat. Bergman tries to score a body lock takedown but Kiely shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Bergman jumps guard and drags Kiely to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Kiely wants to pass the guard but Bergman is keeping the position. Bergman pulls Kiely in close to prevent any damage. Bergman controls Kiely momentarily but Kiely frees himself.
Bergman has his foot on Kiely's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Kiely works his way back into a safe position though. Kiely wants to control from the top but Bergman keeps moving.

Kiely jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Bergman manages to avoid the submission attempt.

Bergman manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Bergman is looking to control Kiely's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Bergman avoid being mounted? The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Bergman is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Bergman trying to hold on to Kiely's head to control him but Kiely postures up.

 That's three minutes gone in the round. Bergman tries to lock up and control but Kiely gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Kiely takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Bergman regains half guard. Bergman trying to hold on to Kiely's head to control him but Kiely postures up.

Bergman has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Kiely is working away from the top position though. Bergman is pressing down on Kiely's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Bergman is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Bergman keeping full guard, as Kiely tries to pass.

Bergman manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Kiely manages to get himself to full guard.

A determined Tobias Bergman didn't want to dwell on this fight in his post fight interview. Instead he was more keen to state he wants a title shot. Let's see if he gets it!
