Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Darion Gregory (ranked 26029 p4p, 2787 weight class) and Cadel Gibson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Darion Gregory! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Cadel Gibson! The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Ian Loll and Yves DeLean.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gibson bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Gibson wants to lay and pray for a moment but Gregory keeps working. Gregory is trying to escape the position but Gibson is controlling the position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Gregory regains half guard. Gibson sitting and controlling from the half guard. Let's hope that Gibson has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
 That's one minute gone in the round. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
 The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Gibson shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Gregory defends it nicely.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Gibson fails with the takedown
and Gregory counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Gregory. Gibson changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Gregory fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Darion Gregory has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Cadel Gibson. Gregory stuffs the takedown.
Gibson looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Gibson wanted to stand there but Gregory had control of the position. Gibson postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Gibson advances position into side control! Gibson throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage. Gibson wants to control but Gregory is keeping him busy.
Gibson thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Gibson moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now. Gregory definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Gibson tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Gibson has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Gibson taking a breather here. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Cadel Gibson dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Gibson closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Gibson controlling the position from side mount. Gibson trying to control the action but Gregory is working from the bottom. Gregory on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Gregory tries to get out of the position. Gibson scoring with punches and elbows.  That's one minute gone in the round. Gregory takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.

 That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Sloppy strikes there by Gibson. Gibson has been the more effective fighter overall so far. You can see the frustration on Gregory's face as Gibson controls the position.

The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.
Gibson is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Gregory is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Gregory is looking to regain half guard here but Gibson keeps moving and retains side control.

 That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Gregory is not content to let Gibson control the position.
 The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Gibson. Darion Gregory is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Gibson tries to clinch and Gregory counters with a lovely straight right hand! Gregory moves out of range of the body kick from Gibson.
Gregory jinks towards his opponent looking like he wants to counter with a mid kick but doesn't commit. Gregory avoids the head kick by Gibson.
Gregory swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Gibson throws an off balance right hand
enabling Gregory to counter with a crisp jab. Gibson throws a wild body kick that Gregory sees coming a mile off. Gibson doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Gregory counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Gregory. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Cadel Gibson showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!
The fight stays on the outside here - Gibson looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Gregory throwing a counter right hand but Gibson manages to avoid it.

Gibson will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Gregory is looking for a counter combo. Gibson uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Gregory.

Gibson wants to control from the top but Gregory keeps moving. Gibson slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Gregory is looking to reverse the position. Cadel Gibson has got the better of the ground game so far. Gibson creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.

Gibson stands up and we're back to a striking position. Gibson shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Gregory as he avoids it easily. Gregory swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Gibson shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Gibson showed some decent athleticism there. Gregory tries to kick Gibson off in order to stand up. Gibson Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Gregory is looking for a sweep. Gibson lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Gregory down.
Gibson scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Gregory to see if he's OK. Gibson lands some shots froms side control. A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet. Gibson is looking to take a break and control but Gregory is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Darion Gregory has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Gibson decides to stand back up. Gibson steps back and let's Gregory get back to his feet. Gregory blocks the body kick.

Gibson shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Gregory tries to kick Gibson off in order to stand up. Gibson Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control. Cadel Gibson is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.
And that's the end of the fight! Cadel Gibson comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Gibson winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
