Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Kareem Gallegos (ranked 2835 p4p, 17745 weight class) and Futoshi Matsunaga (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Futoshi Matsunaga was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Kareem Gallegos!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 49 - 32 - 2, fighting out of New York, Futoshi Matsunaga!
The judges for this bout are Jeff Smith, Josh West and Roger Salmon.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The crowd cheers as Gallegos lands an impressive looking overhand right. Matsunaga doesn't seem phased though.
It looks like Futoshi Matsunaga has been cut.
Matsunaga thows a left - swing and a miss!
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Gallegos checks a leg kick.
Gallegos tries to counter by clinching up but Matsunaga breaks away and moves out of range.
Matsunaga looks to throw the jab but Gallegos is out of range.
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Gallegos!
Gallegos blocks a head kick by Matsunaga.
Gallegos attempts a counter takedown but Matsunaga avoids it well and moves away.
Matsunaga jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Gallegos slips a jab and a cross from Matsunaga.
Gallegos is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Matsunaga.
Matsunaga misses with an uppercut. Gallegos saw that one coming.
Matsunaga walks straight into a right hand from Gallegos - that's dropped him! Gallegos jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Matsunaga from any more punishment! Matsunaga complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:26 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Kareem Gallegos!
A very excited looking Kareem Gallegos made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
