Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Fabinho Tavares!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Cole Mclean!
The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Thiago Cunha and Daniel Cesar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mclean is looking to land body kicks.
Tavares lands a really nice looking cross but Mclean seems unphased.
Mclean swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Tavares counters with a crisp one two that drops Mclean! Tavares thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Mclean to his feet! Mclean is in big trouble!

Mclean drives through with a takedown into Tavares's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.

Tavares scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Tavares throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Mclean stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Mclean is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Tavares is surviving well by controlling Mclean's body position as best he can.

Mclean is controlling this nicely and is looking to make no mistakes. Tavares is trying to wiggle out of this horrible position. Tavares flips to his side and attempts to get a leg in for half guard. Mclean anticipates the leg and manages to get behind Tavares and secures both hooks! This could be bad! Mclean slips an arm under Tavares chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. Mclean has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. Mclean is squeezing on Tavares like an anaconda would it's prey. Tavares fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!
