Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Shinji Yamaguchi (ranked 3000 p4p, 2661 weight class) and Iranian Hulk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Kenichi Hosakawa and Shigeki Fujiwara.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hulk misses with a takedown attempt
and Yamaguchi counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Yamaguchi lands a lovely overhand right.
It looks like Iranian Hulk has been cut.
Hulk looking to score a takedown here. Yamaguchi is defending well but Hulk drives through and ends up in Yamaguchi's guard.

Hulk pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Yamaguchi is keeping the position for now.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Hulk thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Hulk has hold of Yamaguchi's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Yamaguchi tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Hulk cranks the arm and Yamaguchi screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Yamaguchi, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:25 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Iranian Hulk!
An out of breath Iranian Hulk thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
