The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Elvis Blanc and Alec Ball.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Griffith clinches with his opponent.
Kataski tries to pull guard but Griffith forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
Griffith lands a glancing elbow in the clinch.
Kataski fails to pull guard.
Griffith manages to break the clinch.
Nice sprawl there from Griffith as Kataski shoots in.
Zaid Griffith has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Koshi Kataski.
Griffith closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Griffith is trying to trip Kataski. He has hold of a leg but Kataski is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Griffith persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
Griffith throws a big right hand that misses.
Kataski is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Griffith has his hands clasped together but Kataski extends and breaks Griffith's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Kataski.
