Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Harry Spackman! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Adam Fawley! The judges for this bout are William Peck, Trevor Gratis and Dillan Fox.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Fawley fails with a takedown attempt. Adam Fawley seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Fawley gets the takedown into side control. Spackman is working to avoid the ground and pound but Fawley connects with a decent elbow. An elbow from Fawley crashes against the mat.
Spackman takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head. Fawley sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Spackman is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
Spackman really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Fawley working away. Spackman gets back to half guard. Ground and pound from Fawley. Spackman keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Fawley thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Spackman's head. Fawley wants to control but Spackman is keeping him busy. Fawley is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.

That's one minute gone in the round. Fawley thows a huge punch but Spackman dodges it nicely.
Fawley takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Fawley not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Fawley feints and as Spackman raises his hands in defense, Fawley changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Spackman avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Fawley postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Fawley looks gassed! Fawley working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Spackman's head. Spackman working for a triangle but Fawley defends it easily.
Fawley is looking to stand up but Spackman won't let him. Fawley pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Spackman is keeping the position for now.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Fawley controls from within his opponent's guard. Spackman keeping moving, preventing Fawley from controlling successfully. Spackman thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage. Fawley postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Fawley closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Spackman to the mat! Spackman manages to get full guard. Spackman looking to hit a scissor sweep but Fawley is one step ahead there. Spackman working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Fawley.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Fawley stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Spackman swivels though and keeps the full guard. Spackman has a closed guard, preventing Fawley from standing up. Spackman wants to sweep but no luck. Fawley landing some decent shots from guard. Fawley is looking to work some ground and pound but Spackman has wrist control. Spackman is trying to control the position from the bottom.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Fawley avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Fawley throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Spackman. Spackman checks a leg kick nicely. Spackman showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Fawley.
Fawley scores with a takedown into Spackman's guard. Fawley wants to pass the guard but Spackman is keeping the position. Fawley is stalling in the full guard. Spackman keeping moving, preventing Fawley from controlling successfully. Fawley postures up and lands a big shot to Spackman's brow. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Adam Fawley dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Fawley scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Spackman is pressing down on Fawley's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Spackman wants to sweep here but Fawley controlling him for the moment. Fawley landing with the ground and pound. Fawley content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Fawley trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Fawley scoring with punches to the head and body. Spackman looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Fawley lands a couple of decent looking shots. Spackman keeping moving, preventing Fawley from controlling successfully.
That's one minute gone in the round. Fawley connects with a couple of short punches. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Fawley works over Spackman with some ground and pound from guard. Fawley wants to get up but he can't break Spackman's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Fawley scores a takedown into full mount! Spackman bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done! Spackman won't allow Fawley to sweep him here. Fawley is striking off his back. Spackman thinks nothing of it though and passes easily into half guard. Fawley is trying to control but can't.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Fawley is looking to control Spackman's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Fawley avoid being mounted? Spackman wants to control but Fawley is keeping him busy. Fawley is looking to improve his position.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Fawley closes the distance and clinches up with Spackman, looking for a takedown. Fawley pushes Spackman against the cage but Spackman circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Spackman tries to clinch up but Fawley circles away and keeps his distance. Spackman tries to clinch up. Fawley fails with a takedown attempt. Fawley pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Fawley fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Spackman looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Spackman stuffs the takedown. Harry Spackman has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Adam Fawley. Fawley looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Spackman is fending him off so far but Fawley persists. Nope, Spackman circles away and we're back to standing. Spackman moves in looking to clinch but Fawley pushes him off. Fawley drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Fawley wants to stand but Spackman has his arm trapped. Fawley working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter. Fawley connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Spackman some visible discomfort.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Fawley is chipping away with strikes.
Fawley lands an elbow. Fawley stands up and beckons Spackman to his feet. Fawley shoots in for a takedown but Spackman shows good takedown defense. Fawley fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Fawley stuffs the takedown. Fawley fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Spackman sprawls well initially but Fawley persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Spackman is looking to improve his position.
Fawley looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Adam Fawley showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!
Fawley changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Spackman tries to avoid it but Fawley manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Spackman to the ground. Spackman escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Fawley ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Spackman moves away. Fawley fails with the takedown and Spackman counters with a head kick. That will keep Fawley thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks! Fawley throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Spackman holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Fawley turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control! Fawley throwing ground and pound but whilst doing so, he forgets to control position and Spackman works his way back to half guard. Good composure under pressure. Spackman wants to control but Fawley is keeping busy and won't allow it. Fawley misses with a head shot. Spackman uses the momentum to regain guard. Fawley distracts Spackman with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Fawley throws a strike but Spackman rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Spackman trying to control but Fawley is working from the bottom. Adam Fawley has got the better of the ground game so far. Fawley strikes from his own guard. Spackman preventing the sweep. Spackman won't allow Fawley to get back to his feet. Fawley trying to control the position.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Spackman wants to control from the top but Fawley keeps moving. Fawley is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Fawley thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage. Fawley fights it but they end up in guard. Harry Spackman has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Adam Fawley.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Spackman preventing the sweep. Fawley scrambles and gets back to his feet.

and Spackman holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Spackman lands a knee to the head.
Fawley has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Spackman avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Fawley tries for a takedown but Spackman manages to get underhooks.
Adam Fawley is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Spackman gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head. Spackman wants a takedown.

Fawley is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Fawley drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Fawley is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Spackman gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Fawley.
Spackman gets control of Fawley's arms and successfully pulls guard. Spackman will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. Harry Spackman has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Fawley connects with a couple of short punches. Spackman being controlled here, momentarily. Fawley trying to control the position from guard on top but Spackman is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Fawley working some strikes from top position. Fawley wants to control from the top but Spackman keeps moving.
And that's the end of the fight! Harry Spackman showed his dominance in that final round. I think Fawley has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
