Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the middleweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jakul DuVicius!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bedri Ayax!
The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Shigeki Sano and Yukihiro Shimada.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A big left from DuVicius misses.
A looping hook to the body misses from Ayax. DuVicius does a little dance to reset his feet.
Ayax buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Ayax fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. DuVicius looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
DuVicius stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Ayax.
Ayax circles away from the clinch attempt
and Ayax counters with a lovely straight right hand!
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
DuVicius tries to land a body kick
and Ayax counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
DuVicius throws a sloppy head kick and Ayax moves out of range easily.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Ayax is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
DuVicius has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
DuVicius misses with a head kick.
Ayax scores with the left hand. DuVicius knows he should have avoided that one.
A decent looking cross lands there for Ayax.
DuVicius swings widly with a right hand
and Ayax counters with a good low kick that DuVicius was not able to check.
Ayax looks to land a right hand but DuVicius moved out of range.
DuVicius throws a head kick that misses.
DuVicius cracks Ayax with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Ayax moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
DuVicius stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Ayax.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Boom! DuVicius lands a massive head kick that sends Ayax crashing into the ropes, followed by a classic face plant on the canvas! He's up to his knees but he's not going to beat the count - this one is all over! DuVicius is jumping around like a lunatic, extatic with the win!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:17 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Head Kick). Jakul DuVicius!
