Vera comes into the arena with Romper Stomper blaring out of the sound system. Hellstrom has chosen Firestarter as his entrance music. Dominic Vera could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Tyler Hellstrom's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hellstrom defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Vera.
Hellstrom slaps away a takedown attempt from Vera, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Vera will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dominic Vera. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Vera fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Hellstrom avoids it really well and circles away.
Vera looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.

Vera got a little sloppy there for a moment and Hellstrom has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Vera has managed to get both his arms back between Hellstrom's legs - danger averted.

Vera tries to score a power double leg takedown but Hellstrom sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Vera somewhat.
