Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Asakura is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Asakura is in a world of trouble here. He's outmatched on the ground here and he'd better get Oliveira off his back sharpish unless he wants to be submitted.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
You can see the frustration on Asakura's face� He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
Alex Oliveira overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Oliveira is looking cool and calm here, just waiting for a good opportunity to attack and finish the fight from this dominant position.

Oliveira uses his free foot to push down on Asakura's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Asakura.

Oliveira seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Asakura for as long as he can get away with.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Oliveira's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
