Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 21 - 17 - 0, fighting out of New York, Robbie Shakespeare! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 12 - 3 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Oliver Hardy! The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Matheus Silva and Felipe Paraventi.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Shakespeare misses with a hook. Hardy ducked under it nicely. Shakespeare has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. Hardy checks a leg kick nicely. And Hardy tries to counter it with a takedown but Shakespeare pushes his down on his head and steps out. Shakespeare throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Hardy cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
 It looks like Robbie Shakespeare has been cut. Shakespeare pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Hardy throws a poor cross that misses
and Hardy takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
 It looks like Oliver Hardy has been cut. Shakespeare throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Hardy connects with a single shot there. Hardy scores with a hook. Shakespeare with a jab. Shakespeare fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Hardy checks it well. A slow jab from Hardy misses its intended target. Hardy ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Hardy throws the left hand but Shakespeare avoids the punch easily. Hardy throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Shakespeare. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Shakespeare misses with a looping left. And an attempted straight right on the counter from Hardy! But no joy. Shakespeare misses with a body punch
letting Hardy counter with a right hand. Hardy digs a good hook to Shakespeare's body.

 That's one minute gone in the round. Hardy avoids a low kick by using good footwork. Shakespeare stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Hardy scores with a body shot.
Shakespeare missing with a left hand there. Hardy was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Shakespeare throws a jab but it's blocked by Hardy. Hardy feints the counter takedown. Hardy swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Hardy bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Hardy thuds his right hand into Shakespeare's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters. Shakespeare throws a jab when Hardy was well out of range. Shakespeare is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Hardy. Shakespeare connects with a nice looking jab.
Hardy blocks the body kick.
Hardy moves away from the strike by Shakespeare. A countering left hand to the body from Hardy misses. Shakespeare takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Shakespeare's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Hardy connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Shakespeare scrambles back to his feet. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Hardy scores with a punch to the head.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Hardy lands with a straight right. Shakespeare didn't see that one coming. Shakespeare pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Hardy scores with a body shot.
Shakespeare attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin. It seemed like Hardy was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it. Robbie Shakespeare is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Shakespeare takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Shakespeare throws a hook but Hardy blocks it. Hardy cracks Shakespeare with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business. Shakespeare moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. Hardy throws a good cross that connects.
 Robbie Shakespeare's cut is getting worse.
Hardy bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Hardy tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Hardy has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Sloppy strikes there by Hardy. Hardy sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Shakespeare is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
 That's three minutes gone in the round.
Hardy wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Shakespeare, who protects the arm well. Hardy throwing strikes but missing, from side control. Hardy cracks Shakespeare with a big elbow. Hardy working the ground and pound. An elbow from Hardy crashes against the mat.
Shakespeare is not content to let Hardy control the position. Hardy working the head and body with strikes.
Hardy in side control, working for a kimura. He's got hold of an arm and he's torquing it... Shakespeare is tapping! That's the end of the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Oliver Hardy! After the fight, Oliver Hardy was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
