Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Xzavier Carson (ranked 3376 p4p, 5257 weight class) and Hector Blevins (ranked 327 p4p, 424 weight class). Hector Blevins will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Xzavier Carson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Hector Blevins!
The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, Russell Pearce and Steve Montenegro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Carson has his takedown stuffed
and Blevins counters with a nice uppercut.
Blevins moves into range and clinches up with Carson.
Blevins's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Hector Blevins seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Blevins gets caught napping as Carson dives in and scores a takedown. Blevins manages to retain guard.
Blevins working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Carson doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Carson manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Carson makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Carson is working Blevins over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Blevins looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Blevins is on top in guard.
Blevins is sitting in close to Carson's body. Carson has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Blevins is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Blevins is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Carson.
