Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Frank Dennis and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Donk. John catches Ward right on the button with a cross.
Ward shoots in and bounces John off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
John wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Ward manages to pass to side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Ward seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Ward is thwarting John's attempts to control the position.
John tries to push off, looking to stand up, but Ward manages to move to mount!
Ward tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
John is looking to improve his position but Ward isn't that keen on the idea.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Ward moves to the back position.
John is trying to defend against the choke here but Ward has an arm under his chin. This one might not last much longer. Ward Tightens the hold and John taps out furiously! Ward displays superior BJJ to win the fight.
