The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Paulsen Ambrosius and Paul Aken.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dayton uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Nyla.
Dayton seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.
Sammy Nyla seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Dayton instigates a clinch.
Nyla scores with a hook to the body.
Dayton has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Nyla is trying to keep an underhook but Dayton manages to get the takedown into half guard.
Dayton is pressing down on Nyla's thigh, looking to free his foot. Nyla is holding on for now.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Nyla might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Dayton haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
