Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tommy Draconis (ranked 830 p4p, 875 weight class) and Thunda Punch (ranked 44 p4p, 46 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 14 - 9 - 0, fighting out of New York, Tommy Draconis!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Thunda Punch!
The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Paulsen Ambrosius and Wagner Zegers.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Draconis looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Draconis closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Punch wants to improve his position but Draconis is controlling well.
We've been hearing good reports from Draconis's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

Draconis shoots in looking for a takedown. Punch tries to sprawl out of it but Draconis keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Punch manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

The defeated Tommy Draconis had this to say: 'This fight was really short notice, only a few days. My manager screwed the pooch here. It's no wonder I lost. It has to be someone else's fault! I'm the shit!'.
