Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Matt Silver!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Wendell Sailor!
The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, Damien Edna and Steve Erwin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A head kick misses from Silver.
Matt Silver seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Silver tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Sailor paws at him with a jab and circles away.
A nice combination there by Sailor.
It looks like Matt Silver has been cut.
Silver wants to clinch up but Sailor keeps it at a distance.
Silver falls off balance throwing a combination
and Sailor counters by clinching up.
Silver misses with a short punch on the inside.
Silver tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Silver.
Silver throws a head punch that misses.
Silver lands a nice uppercut.
Sailor makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
Sailor creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Silver's defenses.
Sailor keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Silver's efforts to push away.
Silver fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Sailor working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely.
Matt Silver's cut is getting worse.
Sailor blocks a punch to the side of the head.

An uppercut to the body lands inside from Sailor.
Silver is breathing heavily.

Silver breaks from the clinch.
Silver is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

Silver throws a series of punches but Sailor avoids them all with ease.

and Sailor counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Silver!
Silver is in a horrible position here. Sailor smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Matt Silver's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
