Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jon Pulisic!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Elisha Hopkins!
The judges for this bout are Felipe Paraventi, Alexandre Firmino and Leandro Rodrigues.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pulisic is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Pulisic keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Hopkins avoids a punch combination nicely.
Hopkins shoots for a takedown but Pulisic saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Pulisic tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Hopkins manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Hopkins changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
A jab from Pulisic does it's job there.
Hopkins circles away from the clinch attempt.
Hopkins shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Pulisic pinned against the cage. Pulisic gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Jon Pulisic has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Elisha Hopkins.

Pulisic ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Hopkins tries to pull guard but Pulisic forces him back to his feet, against the cage.

The referee calls for Pulisic to work.
Pulisic lands an elbow that stopped Hopkins in his tracks for a moment.
It looks like Elisha Hopkins has been cut.
Pulisic connects with a nasty looking knee right to Hopkins's face.
Hopkins is rocked!
Pulisic lands a good knee to the midsection. Hopkins won't want to take too many of those.
Hopkins is still on wobbly legs! Can Pulisic finish him?
Pulisic has Hopkins pressed up against the cage in a tight Thai clinch. Hopkins is arching his back, trying to avoid the knees but a big one sneaks through from Pulisic - that's hurt Hopkins badly! Oh, another knee lands and Hopkins is covering up! The referee steps in to save him - possibly a bit early but Hopkins doesn't seem to be complaining.
