Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Jabari Mcdowell (ranked 2878 p4p, 4022 weight class) and Max Hoffman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Max Hoffman is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jabari Mcdowell! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Max Hoffman! The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Percy O'Donnell and Frank Antenori.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hoffman stuffs the takedown. Hoffman swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made. Hoffman defending well as Mcdowell loads up on a big left hand. Hoffman throws a big counter head kick but Mcdowell avoids it with no problem. Mcdowell shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Hoffman as he avoids it easily. Hoffman throws a head kick but Mcdowell moves out of range.
Mcdowell shoots in and bounces Hoffman off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Mcdowell scores with a decent looking elbow strike. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Mcdowell throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Hoffman works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Hoffman utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Mcdowell is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Mcdowell working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Mcdowell prevents Hoffman from getting back to his feet. Mcdowell throwing strikes from guard but Hoffman blocks nicely.
Mcdowell thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Mcdowell is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Mcdowell cracks Hoffman with a solid left hand. Mcdowell throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Hoffman works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Mcdowell postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Mcdowell landing with the ground and pound. Mcdowell is looking to work some ground and pound but Hoffman has wrist control.
Mcdowell drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Hoffman manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Mcdowell has Hoffman in his guard.

Hoffman has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Mcdowell to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Hoffman is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Mcdowell pulls down on the head and he's put Hoffman to sleep! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Jabari Mcdowell! Jabari Mcdowell bigged himself up after the win. The crowd seemed to love it.
