Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Sama Katsu (ranked 3440 p4p, 3559 weight class) and Drew Bones (ranked 354 p4p, 363 weight class). Katsu comes into the arena with 抜刀隊 - Battotai (Metal Version) blaring out of the sound system. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Sama Katsu! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Drew Bones! The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Paul Aken and Albert Achterberg.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Katsu lands with a straight right. Bones didn't see that one coming. Bones tries to close the distance and clinch but Katsu swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. A head kick misses from Bones. Bones misses with a head kick.
As Bones tries to get set, Katsu tries to push him back and clinch up but Bones manages to avoid the attempt. Katsu throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Bones tries to counter with a clinch but Katsu shakes him off and moves away. Katsu looks to land a combination but Bones avoids it well. Katsu with a body punch. A glancing blow. Katsu cracks a nice hook into Bones's ribs. Katsu ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Bones moves away. Bones tries to close the distance and clinch but Katsu swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Katsu will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Katsu throws a body punch but Bones moves out of range. A combination from Katsu does no damage. Bones shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Katsu as he avoids it easily. Katsu slaps away a takedown attempt from Bones, before circling back to the center of the mat. Katsu avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Bones keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Bones takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Bones misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Katsu ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Bones moves away. Bones is looking to land body kicks. Katsu throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Bones throws a sloppy head kick and Katsu moves out of range easily. Katsu is looking to counter with a shot to the body. Katsu scores with a hook. Good standup being displayed there by Katsu as he connects with a hook. Bones shoots in for a double leg but Katsu sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. It looked like Katsu was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit. Sama Katsu has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Drew Bones. Katsu lands a body shot.
Katsu takes a swing at Bones's ribcage but misses. Bones tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Katsu defends well and Bones ends up having to push Katsu into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Sama Katsu seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Bones stuffs the takedown attempt from Katsu. Katsu gets slowly back to his feet. A head kick misses from Bones. A looping hook to the body misses from Katsu. Bones does a little dance to reset his feet.

Katsu looks to score with a jab to the body but Bones is just out of range. Katsu stuffs the takedown attempt from Bones. Bones gets slowly back to his feet. Katsu connects nicely with a jab. A momentary lapse in concentration from Katsu enables Bones to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Katsu manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Bones trying to control the position from guard on top but Katsu is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Bones is looking to work some ground and pound but Katsu has wrist control.

The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Bones wants to pass the guard but Katsu is keeping the position.

And that's the end of the fight! Sama Katsu showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Katsu, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
