PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Fredrick Stonewall (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jason Sparrow (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Stonewall comes to the cage accompanied by Shadow Play by the Killers. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Fredrick Stonewall!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jason Sparrow!
The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Bruno Hogan and Steve Erwin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Stonewall closes the distance and clinches.
A short right hand to the side of the head by Stonewall.
Stonewall is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Sparrow pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Stonewall has Sparrow pressed against the cage, preventing Sparrow from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Sparrow changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Stonewall fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Sparrow circles away from the clinch attempt.
Stonewall tries to clinch there but Sparrow circles away.
Sparrow misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Sparrow moves out of range of the body kick from Stonewall.
Stonewall leaves Sparrow with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Fredrick Stonewall has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jason Sparrow.

Sparrow is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Stonewall's half guard.
Stonewall gets full guard.
Stonewall is adopting a defensive guard.
Stonewall really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Sparrowis looking to pass into half guard but Stonewall pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Stonewall is in guard.

Stonewall is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Sparrow has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Stonewall is looking to defend but Sparrow has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Stonewall! Sparrow pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Stonewall taps out and this one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:31 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Jason Sparrow!
