Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 4 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Samuel Sarinnen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kai Chen!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Don Winkell and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sarinnen takes a jab right on the kisser.
Sarinnen shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Sarinnen throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Sarinnen tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Chen was well out of range. Poor timing from Sarinnen.
Chen dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Sarinnen throws a shot from downtown. Chen moves away and avoids it.
Chen misses with a hook. Sarinnen ducked under it nicely.
Chen looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

Sarinnen fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Chen avoids it really well and circles away.

Chen tries to counter with a clinch but Sarinnen shakes him off and moves away.

Chen displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Sarinnen throws out the jab.

Chen is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Sarinnen rather than just go for the knockout.
Sarinnen lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Chen with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Sarinnen to score with a decent uppercut.

Chen wants to lay and pray for a moment but Sarinnen keeps working.
Sarinnen is trying to control Chen's posture but Chen avoids it.
Sarinnen tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Chen tries for a kimura but Sarinnen is defending well.
A lull in the action here as Chen stalls from top position.

Chen wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Sarinnen, who protects the arm well.

Sarinnen tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Chen wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Chen is trying a forearm choke� I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.

Kai Chen dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action.

Chen moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Chen drops his hands momentarily and Sarinnen takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Chen throws a nice outside leg kick.
Sarinnen lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Sarinnen is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.

Sarinnen looking for a takedown here - he's got it.

Chen is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Sarinnen is aware though and is defending well.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Sarinnen is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Chen to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Chen shrugs it off.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Chen is desperately trying to improve his position but Sarinnen has a good base and remains in mount.

Chen tries to improve his position but Sarinnen has taken his back! Sarinnen has a choke - it's sunk in pretty tight... Will Chen tap? No... maybe... yes! He's tapped! Sarinnen pushes Chen away and gets up to celebrate with his corner!
