Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Kanud Odimabesser (ranked 1969 p4p, 3686 weight class) and Viktor Hughes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Kanud Odimabesser has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Kanud Odimabesser seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 16 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Kanud Odimabesser! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 9 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Viktor Hughes! The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Alexandre Firmino and Edson Gomes.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Odimabesser moves into range and clinches up with Hughes.
Odimabesser drags the fight down to the ground.
Hughes is looking to pass into half guard but Odimabesser pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Odimabesser is in guard.
Odimabesser controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Hughes is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Odimabesser is aware though and is defending well.
Hughes working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Odimabesser doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Odimabesser manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Odimabesser seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Odimabesser has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Hughes is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Odimabesser drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Odimabesser jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Odimabesser stopping the sweep attempt from Hughes. Odimabesser is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Hughes looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Hughes escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Odimabesser gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Odimabesser controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
 The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Odimabesser moves into the clinch.
Odimabesser successfully pulls guard.
Odimabesser is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Odimabesser is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Hughes drops back, looking for a kneebar! Odimabesser looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Odimabesser looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Odimabesser!
The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Hughes trying to control but Odimabesser flips him over like a cheap hooker and has his back! Odimabesser controlling the position well here. Hughes rolled but Odimabesser kept the hooks locked in and stayed in the dominant position.

Hughes trying to control the position but Odimabesser manages to sink in the hooks. Odimabesser controls the action. This is a sustained period of stalling by Odimabesser. Hughes is in a world of trouble here. He's outmatched on the ground here and he'd better get Odimabesser off his back sharpish unless he wants to be submitted. Hughes trying to control the hands but Odimabesser won't let him.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Odimabesser really has the hooks in deep now - there seems like no escape for Hughes. Hughes is defending well here and trying to improve his position.
Hughes is looking to escape here. Oh dear - Odimabesser has locked on a rear naked choke here! Hughes is tapping out! The fight is over!
