Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Yahir Russell (ranked 3415 p4p, 4867 weight class) and Nolan Diaz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Yahir Russell has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Yahir Russell! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Nolan Diaz! The judges for this bout are Marco Blurstr�m, Matti Vanhoillinen and Ben Zyskovitsi.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Diaz avoids the head kick by Russell.
Russell gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Diaz wants to control from the top but Russell keeps moving.
Diaz decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Russell, up you get! Russell fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Russell looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Diaz shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Diaz prevents Russell from improving his position.
 That's one minute gone in the round.
Diaz decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up. Diaz swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Diaz drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Diaz stands up from guard. Let's bang! Russell fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Yahir Russell. That's going to take a lot out of him. Diaz throws a body punch but Russell moves out of range. Russell lands an overhand right. Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Russell. Diaz shrugs it off though.
 That's two minutes gone in the round.
Diaz drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Diaz showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Diaz trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Russell might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Russell being controlled here, momentarily. Russell keeping full guard, as Diaz tries to pass.
Diaz drops back looking for a leg! Russell is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Russell manages to kick Diaz off! Diaz jumps back into Russell's guard.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Russell keeping full guard, as Diaz tries to pass. Diaz stopping the sweep attempt from Russell. Diaz is working Russell over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Diaz controlling from the top position. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Russell pulls Diaz in close to prevent any damage.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Diaz showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Russell wants to get back to his feet but Diaz is in a dominant position and won't allow it. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Diaz wants to pass the guard but Russell is keeping the position.
 The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. A kick lands to the mid section there for Russell. Russell looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Diaz is fending him off so far but Russell persists. Nope, Diaz circles away and we're back to standing. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Nolan Diaz dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Russell decides to pull guard. Russell trying to control the position.
Diaz pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Russell is keeping the position for now. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Diaz's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Diaz connects with a couple of short punches. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Russell is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.
Russell breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Diaz shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Russell defends it nicely.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Russell closes the distance and clinches up with Diaz, looking for a takedown. Russell pushes Diaz against the cage but Diaz circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Diaz has managed to clinch.

Diaz tightens his grip and picks Russell up, before dumping him to the ground. Russell manages to land in guard. Diaz is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Russell looking to control.
Russell being controlled here, momentarily. Nolan Diaz has got the better of the ground game so far.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Diaz pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Russell is keeping the position for now. Diaz not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Russell seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
Russell working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Diaz doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Diaz manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
 The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Russell throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Russell shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Diaz defends it nicely. Russell falls off balance throwing a combination
and Diaz counters with a nice double leg into side control. Russell won't be happy with that. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. The referee asks Diaz politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Diaz prefers to stall for the moment though.
Russell wants to improve his position, back to half guard but Diaz has ideas of his own. He's got hold of Russell's far side arm and it looks like he's got an Americana. Ohh! Ohhhh! OOOOOOOOOH! A human being's arm is not meant to bend like that! Russell is tapping like a morse code operator on the Titanic! SOS SOS! He's out of here! Great win for Diaz!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:48 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Nolan Diaz!
