Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Hero Shima (ranked 21536 p4p, 2250 weight class) and Brenden Haney (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Shima comes to the cage accompanied by C. R. E. A. M. Shima has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Haney fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Shima, pushing him back against the cage.
Shima goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Shima tries a body shot but Haney blocks it.
Haney gets through Shima's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
A nice right hand lands inside from Shima.
Haney lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
It looks like Hero Shima has been cut.
Shima swings wildly with an uppercut but Haney uses good head movement to avoid it.
Shima fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Shima pushes Haney back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.

Haney's coach down at Fighter Factory was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Haney's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Shima tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Haney smiles and moves away.

Haney really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Shima. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Haney dips a shoulder and cracks Shima with a mighty uppercut! Shima falls back against the cage and Haney unloads with a barrage of strikes! Shima is completely out with his eyes open, only supported by the cage! Save him ref! Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - Haney screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!
