6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Demetrius Nedram! The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Robert Twigg and Frank Dennis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nedram connects with a jab. Nedram throws a series of punches but Peters moves out of range. Nedram looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Peters throws a wild combination but nothing lands. A punch combination from Nedram misses. Nedram connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. Peters shoots and misses and Nedram counters by moving into the clinch. Nedram creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses. Nedram tries a body shot but Peters blocks it.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Nedram stays in close to Peters's body and controls the position. Peters fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Nedram manages to avoid it. Nedram walks into a straight right hand from Peters. Nedram takes the fight into the clinch. Nedram throws an elbow but it's blocked.

Peters gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Nedram counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Peters! Peters is wriggling around trying to escape.
Nedram is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Peters is working hard here to advance position. Nedram controlling from the full mount.

Despite being in the dominant position, Demetrius Nedram just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Demetrius Nedram is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Peters is going olschool here, as he tries to force Nedram to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Nedram shrugs it off. Nedram wants to control but Peters is having none of it.
